OGUZ RELEASES HIS DEBUT ALBUM, ‘ENTER MY SIMULATION’

OGUZ captivates audiences once again with the release of his groundbreaking debut album, ‘ENTER MY SIMULATION’. This highly anticipated LP is set to be released on July 29th via the highly acclaimed DJ and producers own 808 STUDIOS label. The full length release delivers a transformative sonic experience that pushes the boundaries of electronic music and sparks the next phase in OGUZ’s artistic journey. 

OGUZ has been one of the leading lights in hard techno since his explosion onto the scene almost a decade ago. With his iconic aesthetic and sound, the young Amsterdamer has built a devoted following that has seen him ascend to some of the biggest stages on the planet at some of the most revered clubs and festivals.

With ‘ENTER MY SIMULATION’, OGUZ ventures into new musical territories, blending immersive soundscapes, pulsating rhythms, and cutting-edge production techniques to create a uniquely captivating auditory journey over the course of 10 dynamic tracks.

Opening up the record is ‘Ayse’, a cinematic soundscape with organic drums and humming synths is a far cry from the peak time rave anthems we have come to know OGUZ for. A tribute to his beloved mother, it is clear that OGUZ is allowing us to see, perhaps for the first time, who he is as a person both as a producer and a person.

‘You & Me Forever’ follows next, a more dancefloor focused composition that jumps between bone crushing kick drums and euphoric melodies providing an entrancing juxtaposition. ‘Wild West’ comes out of the blocks at a blistering pace. With very few frills and decorative melodies, this no nonsense track brings a powerful energy that has been featured heavily in OGUZ’s sets leading up to this hotly anticipated release.

‘Wild West’ is a pounding, skittish techno driver with a distinct Hip-Hop vocal sample that pairs exceptionally well with OGUZ’s production style. Fearless and unapologetic, this high intensity track brings with it a chaotic and powerful energy.

‘Un’Ultra Linea’, opens with a mash of samples from breaking news to radio white noise before a tantalising melody is overtaken by an overwhelming breakdown of kick drums and chaos. ‘My Revenge’ makes it the halfway point of the record. A super emotional composition with tear jerking chords that pull at the heart strings before a driving kick implores you to move your body to the rhythm.

‘Dreamcore’ is an ethereal, ecstasy filled break from the blistering tracks on the record. With its angelic vocal gliding over the pumping beats and heavenly keys. While ‘Never Again’ brings us back to the jet black basement vibe that has become synonymous with OGUZ’s productions.

‘Out of Love’ continues to bridge the gap between OGUZ’s more well known sound and where it is hinting at going. Lighter tones, gentle vocal notes battle against corrosive, harsh breaks. ‘Cillio’s Therapy’, charges on with white hot pace. A pounding kick drum and meandering synth line and enhanced by breaks of emotional voicemail recordings speaking love that is lost while caring for those that are now gone and atmospheric rain droplets.

Closing out this landmark record is ‘Simulation Passed’, a beatless, almost ambient bookend. With quiet, reflective moments, this album is truly a singular body of work that holds the listeners attention throughout all ten tracks. This is the beginning of a new chapter for OGUZ and the end of an old one. As has always been the case, the sky’s the limit for this artist, the only question is how high he wants to go.
